Sunghwan Kim is an Oriental Medical Doctor (OMD) and California Licensed Acupuncturist (LAc) practicing in San Rafael. His work combines the two great branches of East Asian medicine — acupuncture and herbal medicine — into unified, personalized care.
Patients come to Alpha Acupuncture & Herb Clinic for many reasons: stubborn pain that hasn't responded to other care, fatigue that lab tests can't explain, digestive trouble, migraines, or simply the desire to feel well again. Dr. Kim's approach is the same for each: listen carefully, look at the whole person, and build a treatment plan around what that person actually needs.
His work supporting memory in Alzheimer's patients has been featured in the Pacific Sun — a reflection of a practice philosophy that never gives up on quality of life, at any age.
For patients who can't easily travel, Dr. Kim brings the clinic to them with house-call visits throughout Marin County.
